Who Am I?
Movement on the outside guided by stillness amidst swirling bioelectric energy on the inside has always been my road map for under and inner - standing life. My mother loved to remind me that before I ever learned to walk, I was teaching myself how to ride a bike. By 18 months, I was pushing a rusted, tireless, pedalless, and chainless 12 inch wheeled bicycle up a railroad embankment in front of my grandmother’s house — half dragging, half pushing, then propping my body across the top tube and coasting back down, then falling, then getting back up again and repeating. That rhythm of testing limits, learning from the experiences and rising again has defined my life.
Today, I’ve ridden close to 1 million human-powered miles. Cycling isn’t just my sport—it’s my way of experiencing life, freedom, and resilience. I call it Land Surfing: riding the world’s roads, mountains, and landscapes powered by nothing but my own drive to experience cyclings “Flow State” and to see what’s possible.
The Inner Drive
I’m an INFP, one of the rarest Myers-Briggs types (just 2–3% of men). Understanding what gives me energy vs drains me of it and how to create a life that endorses who, what and the way I’ve been since birth unlocked everything for me. Skimming the surface of what drives me from within are these initial qualities:
Deep intuition: I don’t just see things, I see through things and I notice what most likely no one else has noticed about most everything.
Fierce independence: Having spent almost 7 decades out in nature, she taught me her authenticity and source level knowledge of the human body that few consciously realize is at play whether we are awake to their actions or not.
A values-driven focus: Values are the rudder in the wind that steer us to where we are going and even being along the way. Knowing yours lucidly is empowering.
A need to illustrate life as both a story and a purpose.
As an Introvert, I realized in conversation with tons of fellow cyclist got profound insights out of what my 7 decade long love affair with cycling performance has taught me. These interactions have inspired me to see if I can make available online the lessons of 1 million miles of studying “Behind Bars” in the “Temple of the Pain Ring”.
Why I Built LandSurfingPro
🔥 To empower others to ride farther and faster, reduce recovery times, and build their own cycling-centered lifestyle that allows them to enjoy riding more.
🔥 To teach others how to build a sustainable, high-performance cycling lifestyle where training, Grand Fondos, formal and informal racing, can become monetized to fund this way of life.
This site is where I share what I’ve learned via: eBooks, training templates, blog reflections, and behind-the-scenes lessons on how to create your own “Paid-to-Ride” life.
